This all levels class provides modifications and variations to make it appropriate for any level of yogi! This class incorporates physical (asana), mental, and breathwork (pranayama) practices to promote mind/body wellness.
This class is an all level vinyasa class, using flowing movements coordinated with your breath to create continuity between postures. It uses a variety of postures to cultivate balance, flexibility, strength and endurance. If you are looking to sweat in your yoga practice, this is the class for you! All levels welcome, but some experience with Yoga is recommended.
This one hour class includes slow warm ups, gentle postures and deep relaxation using the breath as a guide. It is for students interested in learning to relax and feel good in their body. You will rejuvenate muscles, repair connective tissue, strengthen bones, improve joint function and improve balance. Modifications are offered making the practice very accessible.
Leave the rushed, frenzied pace of life behind and step into a deeply relaxing practice that brings balance to the nervous system. The use of props will help students gently stretch and hold poses for longer periods of time while releasing tension from the mind and body. All levels are welcome.
The Sivananda Open Class is for all-levels, incorporating deep relaxation (savasana), breathing exercises (pranayama), and physical postures (asanas) in a 90 minute class that allows practitioners to properly relax, breathe, as well as increase flexibility and strength. The asana portion of the class follows a sequence of 12 postures, where the entire body is utilized to release tension, strengthen and lengthen muscles, bring more awareness to the mind, and improve overall health. The goal of yoga is to unite body, mind, and spirit and Sivananda is one method to try and achieve this for a peaceful and more mindful world.
Individual Yoga Session
An individual yoga session is 60 minutes long, and utilizes the tools of yoga (such as postures, breathing, meditation, self-inquiry, and more) for holistic healing, preventative health, increased fitness and personal growth. When you sign up for a session, you will be e-mailed an intake form asking about your health history, nutrition habits, goals, etc. In our first session, I'll get to know more about your current lifestyle and what you want to achieve through yoga, and based on your abilities and goals will create an individual yoga practice for you to take home, specifically designed to help you reach your goals. Follow-up sessions involve discussing progress and revising your yoga practice so that it evolves with your changing needs and abilities.

Enjoy a free yoga class with a different teacher from The Om Tribe each week! The Om Tribe has the vision of being a welcoming community of self discovery and transformation with the mission to support the community through the four paths of yoga. Classes are at Palms Together Yoga in the Fall & Winter and held in Franklin Park in the Spring and Summer.
