If you are curious about yoga, or have taken some time off, this 6 week workshop series will acquaint you – or reacquaint you - with the poses, the stories behind the poses, and the yoga way of life. Yoga is more than physical exercise; yoga is breathwork, movement, and a state of mind that brings our mental, emotional, and physical selves into a calm, relaxed, and centered focus. We will take it slow, so you have time for questions and deep learning about the history of yoga. We will also explore the use of props to provide support for our poses, the purpose of each pose to reduce stress, encourage deeper and healthier breathing, create flexibility, and restore and energize your body while calming your mind. This is a great opportunity to build your yoga community in a safe and supportive environment.
